  • Subscription tier (Free, Tier 1 INR 299–1,599/month, Tier 2 INR 599–2,999/month) and billing details (processed via Razorpay, encrypted).

Optional Personal Information:

  • Profile photo (optional, max 2MB, JPEG/PNG) and personal details (e.g., name, phone, address) for personalization, uploaded via Settings.
  • You can choose not to provide this information, and it's never required to use CanaanCart.

Usage Data (Optional):

  • Shopping lists (items, quantities, categories), custom items, and bill costs (Tier 2) for list creation, optimization, and sharing.
  • Dashboard activity (e.g., list creation, sharing history) for Free, Tier 1, and Tier 2 users.
  • AI feedback data (e.g., spending patterns, optimization suggestions) for Tier 1 (monthly) and Tier 2 (weekly), if you opt-in.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and improve CanaanCart's services, including list creation, optimization, sharing (WhatsApp/SMS), and offline access.
  • Personalize your experience (e.g., displaying your profile photo, tailoring AI feedback for Tier 1/Tier 2).
  • Process subscriptions and payments securely via Razorpay, ensuring cancellation options.
  • Generate anonymized/encrypted AI insights using OpenAI for dashboard feedback, only with your consent.
  • Ensure app security, troubleshoot issues, and comply with legal obligations.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share it with:

  • Service Providers: Razorpay for payment processing and OpenAI for AI feedback (with consent).
  • Legal Authorities: If required by law or to protect CanaanCart's rights.
  • Third-Party Sharing: For WhatsApp/SMS sharing, you control what list data is sent.

5. Data Security

  • Encryption: All personal data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
  • Anonymization: Data sent to OpenAI for AI feedback is anonymized and encrypted.
  • Access Control: Only authorized personnel and you can access your data.
  • Inactivity Policy: Accounts inactive for over 6 months are automatically deleted.

6. Your Rights and Choices

  • Access: View your data in Settings or Dashboard.
  • Correction: Update profile details or lists via Settings.
  • Deletion: Request data deletion in Settings or automatic after 6 months of inactivity.
  • Opt-Out: Disable cookies, revoke AI consent, or cancel subscriptions in Settings.
  • Portability: Export your lists or settings upon request.

7. International Data Transfers

CanaanCart ensures data transfers comply with applicable data protection laws via standard contractual clauses, encryption, and anonymization.

8. Children's Privacy

CanaanCart is not intended for users under 13. If we learn we've collected data from a child under 13, we'll delete it promptly.
